Ebay purchase, my first Hermes. Typed beautifully right off the bat. The only issue is that the paper bail containing the mysterious red ribbon is loose on both ends. The ribbon still works and moves accurately, but the entire bail attachment points on both ends needs to be reattached.

Long time typewriter admirer, newly minted collector. I was part of the IBM Boca Raton team that built the PC XT, the PC AT and IBM PC DOS (IBM's version of MS DOS). Little did we know that we were contributing to the shift away from these beautiful machines.
