1967 Smith Corona Corsair Serial # 6Y577612 1967 Smith Corona Corsair typewriter, Serial # 6Y577612 Jacob OBoyle's 1967 Smith Corona Corsair typewriter. 2023-01-01 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Jacob OBoyle: 1967 Smith Corona Corsair Serial # 6Y577612 The Corsair was a machine that I learned for since I began collecting, and seeing this one sitting on a table at a flea market and marked the finale of my "juvenile era" as a collector in my eyes.
Anyway, it typed ok, nothing crazy, standard fare for a Smith-Corona, good as to be expected. I decided to sell it in time for Christmas, and it was bought by a woman wanting to gift it to her mother. I hope she enjoys it.

The best angle to view this little do-dad. The seller I bought it from said that it belonged to a school teacher. I wonder what she wrote also looking at this Corsair from this angle...

Under ribbon cover - I didn't waste money on the smaller spools this thing takes, but instead rewrapped a standard universal ribbon onto the spools it came with. The more you know!

I'm a relatively new collector hunting for anything inexpensive that I can get my hands on, functionality being a second thought. I have to learn somehow, right!?
