Description:
Fairly common model as far as I understand. I made a PDF of the manual. That's where I got the year of manufacture. I wish thee was an area here for sharing these.

I'm just a guy who's come to realize that a lot of the old tech is better. I never gave up on automatic watches. As my kitchen appliances age and fail I look for analog versions, Toaster ovens with thermostats one rotates and clockwork timers and microwaves with potentiometers and more clockwork timers. I've reverted to carrying a paper notebook and pen in my pocket. I'm appalled that cars with manual transmissions are a special order item and manual wind windows are unavailable. I came back to typewriters after I got sick of having to remember which labels stickers I used on an unfinished sheet when using a word processor to make more, and found that I like them, even more than my Model M keyboards.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal Safari on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal Safari By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
