Purchased my first typewriter in 1977 from a second hand shop in Leeds UK,' an Imperial The Good Companion Model T. It has been a wonderful tool since the day I brought it home. If I can remember I only paid ÂŁ10 for it and it Just required a weekly dusting down and A new ribbon every few months. Unlike a computer the Imperial has never had to wait for a update or install.
My love affair with typewriters began.
