Description:
An excellent specimen of a cursive typeface Olympia SM9. Found it at a flea market in southern California. It was absolutely gorgeous, extremely clean mechanism, no dust or eraser shavings to be seen. Even the case was in nice condition. The type slugs were so clean, I don't think this machine was used very often. Very lucky to find it with the original final inspection sheet and care manual. I sold it because I didn't use it enough, and a typewriter like this deserved someone who would cherish it more than I could.

College age collector from New Jersey. Struggling to keep my collection under 30 machines. Started with this hobby back in 2014 when I was a freshman in high school, and it has led me all across the spectrum of machine repair from telephones to tape machines. I always end up coming back to typewriters though, can't keep me from returning to my roots.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olympia SM9 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olympia Serial Number page and the Olympia SM9 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
