Description:
Purchased from a local thrift/vintage store on (approximately) 02/12/2026. It was missing the spool nuts, but I was able to design and 3D print new ones with very little hassle (if you exclude rewiring the wires my cats chewed through on the 3D printer, at least.) It is the most full-featured of all the typewriters I presently have (03/16/2026), but I think it has the worst typing feel; too mushy, is all I can think to describe it as.

Hobbyist of far too many things, but, most recently, typewriters. I presently have 5:
- a Smith Corona Galaxie,
- an Olivetti Underwood 21,
- a Smith Corona Corona Seventy (electric),
- a Royal KMG,
- a Smith Corona Super Sterling,
- and a Smith Corona Skyriter.
I hope to curb over-collection -- fortunately, I have found all typewriters that I need to fulfill my needs. (Though, I am not certain that will stop me from haphazardly purchasing more.)
I have a far too neglected website at https://ashavedbear.dev which is hosted by Neocities. I hope to return to regular updates to it, but I often fail to find the time for all of my hobbies.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olivetti-Underwood 21 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olivetti-Underwood Serial Number page and the Olivetti-Underwood 21 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
