Description:
Nice Hermes Media 3 typewriter in mid 60's version, purchased online from a Swiss dealer. From my point of view the Hermes were superior to all others with not only perfect operation but pleasant touch also. As you can see the left knob is missing, looking on the internet it seems to be a common thing for this model that is often missing of one or even both knobs.

I have been an Italian typewriter collector for many many years. At that time, I loved very old typewriters from late 1800s to early 1900s. After a break of a few years I returned to collect typewriters but no longer so old, I prefer now the design of the 40's, 50's and 60's. Yes, I am an affectionate collector of Olivetti, of course, but I'm attracted to all the other brands from that period, not just Italian.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Hermes Media 3 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Hermes Serial Number page and the Hermes Media 3 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
