Description:
All I can find out is what I've found on here that this is apparently a Consul. SOmeone else in Europe has a similar one with a decal on the back stating made in Czechoslovakia and model 231.3 . It is identical to this other than the color.. It's a basic machine, no tabs, touch or ribbon color selector. Has carriage shift. Types okay. Would be good for a sometime typist or travel typer.

I like to collect vintage/retro items and have a pretty good collection of electric mixers, vacuums, telephones and typewriters.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Commodore 231 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Commodore Serial Number page and the Commodore 231 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
