I love German typewriters and this Olympia SM9 is for me probably one of the best typewriters ever made. It tells you a lot about German engineering and their attention to fine details that make this one so superb and quiet too!

I'm an archaeologist who writes heritage books and collects Japanese ceramics as well as quite a number of typewriters that I've acquired through purchase or as gifts over the last 10 years in the Philippines as well as in the US and Japan.
I'm currently a visiting professor at a university in Japan and it is heaven here to see so many typewriters being auctioned online!
