Description:
I bought this Olivetti-Underwood 21 from a fellow Typospherian, someone who took great care of her machines. Having liked the typing action of the Studio 44, I was curious to try out a model that is mechanically very similar.
Although the carriage and the key levers are pretty much the same, the 21 has a more solid feel to it. I like the Underwood-designed key tops - they're a little larger than those on the Studio 44; their heart shape is also a little friendlier! :) Unlike many Studio 44's, this 21 sports a Pica typeface.
The hard plastic case for the 21 is also a welcome addition, as it won't get damaged as easily as wood cases wrapped in vinyl.
