Description:
Purchased at Fredericksburg Antique Marketplace in March, 2025. Excellent condition except for missing thumb nuts for the ribbon spools, which I ordered from Ebay and replaced. It joins my Lettera 22- it has been fun to compare the two models.

I am a librarian, artist, writer, and co-author of the book Desegregation in Northern Virginia Libraries (The History Press, 2023). I am a columnist on the topic of library technology. If I'm working on a book or an article, I'm at the computer. However, I use my typewriters to make poems, type-doodles, art, and to write snail mail letters. Currently my collection is centered around midcentury models.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olivetti Lettera 32 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olivetti Serial Number page and the Olivetti Lettera 32 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
