Description:
It's a bit of a cliche at this point, but I have around 36 typewriters in my collection, and this is probably my favorite. It has the perfect combination of style and performance that is difficult to find with other models. It took a while, but I finally found one on eBay that wasn't priced in the stratosphere. It was, however, a bit worse for wear. It was dirty, had some old Scotch tape stuck to the sides, had some chips in the paint, and most noticeably one of the paper support fingers in the back was broken off and missing. I cleaned it up and got it working perfectly, and eventually sourced a replacement for the missing paper finger.
The sound of this machine is very pleasing, as is the feel of the keys. The imprint it makes is nice and clear -- comparable to the big Standard machines in my collection. If I could only keep one, this would be it. Servicing and cleaning it is a bit on the difficult side, though. Just getting the bottom off can sometimes be a challenge on these machines if they have suffered any damage at all, since the metal gets deformed.

I'm relatively new to typewriter collecting, but am rapidly making up for lost time...
