Description:
Erika 40 from the very beginning of production in a very good state.
The Model 40 was much better equipped than 30. It had a tabulator, a telescopic arm and other functions. Models from this period are structurally different from later ones. They seem to be better made.
This typewriter didn't work much. It was in a suitcase at a law firm. Typefaces shine like new after a light wipe. Even the ribbon spools are made of metal (original?).

Typewriters were always around me. Some have been with me all my life. Others I saved from being thrown in the trash when the computer age came.
I'm not creating a museum. My typewriters are used. Rarely but regularly. Therefore, the collection is not large, and each machine has a Polish typeface.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Erika 40 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Erika Serial Number page and the Erika 40 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
