Description:
eBay sighting of a Opus 895. We don't have any of these recorded yet, but they look delicious! That blue! Notice a few bits that indicate it's an older design, such as the lack of a paper rest and the 'x' style bottom plate. Also doesn't look like the case has the rubberized bumpers that keep the humpback JP-1's from bumping around. I wonder if the dimensions are tighter so the machine is touching the extreme edges of the case and that's enough to keep it still? I worry about this machine surviving shipping. Then again it's a Brother, so odds are in its favor.

I'm a high school English teacher. Whenever I have to teach my students how to format a paper, I unleash a flock of Charger 11's at them! (they love it). I am most interested in the Brother brand, but I dabble in any and all machines.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Brother Opus 895 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Brother Serial Number page and the Brother Opus 895 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
