Purchased in early 2018. Shell paint was pretty scuffed up. Return arm was broken.
Refurbished and repainted in metallic blue in mid-2018. Return arm was repaired to replace the missing ball bearing.

A novice collector and "restorer" from the Chicagoland area who is just fascinated with these machines. I'm particularly drawn to the portables of the 50's and 60's. Although we had a typewriter in the house growing up and used one all through school, I really got back into them fairly recently. However, I've had the Smith Corona Standard 8 since the mid-90's - so that is what I call the "first".
