Description:
SM9 de Luxe with a wide carriage, standard pica. The hard case is huge to accommodate the carriage and it is in excellent condition. This one belongs to a local friend and since Iāve had such an outpouring of responses to my Craigslist posting for a variety of machines I was willing to part with- he brought over his de-stash too. I really want to do this every December. Iāve broken even in the long run but so far FIVE young people in Eugene who asked their parents for a typewriter now have one. Anyway- this 0ne just went out the door with William! Yay!

I have many pen pals and correspond via handwritten and typed letters. I have a (painful) sitting disability and type while standing- UPDATE! I can also type on an ultraportable I set up on my bed. Typing and collecting machines with different typefaces keeps me busy and happily distracted from the difficulties in life-fountain pens, too, and I can write legibly, in cursive, while laying down. Join me on Type Pals and register for the monthly postcard exchanges. The āCat Mewsā is a quarterly publication of the philatelic topical group Cats On Stamps Study Unit (COSSU), for which I am a column contributor. My cats are Wiffle Wizard and Urushi (Rushi) Blizzard, aka the Blizzard Sisters.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olympia SM9 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olympia Serial Number page and the Olympia SM9 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
