Description:
My great-grandfathers machine, types really nicely and the carriage is so smooth as it runs on bearings, needed lots of cleaning due to old erasings that have mixed with oil in so it was very hard to clean but i cleaned it up and it works reliably after a very VERY long deep clean, flush and clean multiple times so the ribbon drive shaft moves and i had to tighten a screw hidden on the side for the ribbon lift which had come loose so the lift was unreliable while typing, it took me 6 months and creative thinking for homemade tools but now this machine is my favourite ever and despite its few scuffs and dings it still remains as the nicest machine ever.

17 years old with a passion for the past, started repairing these back in September 2021 and scrounging for any typewriters i can here in Perth Western Australia. Love these old machines and plan on fixing them for future generations to use.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Facit TP1 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Facit Serial Number page and the Facit TP1 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
