Description:
This was a Goodwill purchase without a case. Cleaned our and it came back to life, it was quite a bargain! It types beautifully and is my 2nd favorite machine after the Adler Tippa S. I found a matching case on auction site and now have a complete matching.

I learned to type in elementary school and it was something that I didn't appreciate until college.
Recently got interested in many of the manual machines I used as a kid and now as an adult I began repairing and collecting typewriters for myself.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Smith Corona Sterling on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Smith Corona Serial Number page and the Smith Corona Sterling By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
