Description:
A great typing Galaxie in "Spring Green" from the last year of production, before the Galaxie II was introduced. Despite the new design's increased use of plastics compared to its predecessor, it types just as well as any 5T series I've owned, never skipping a beat. This particular example was originally owned by a woman who occasionally worked as a professional calligrapher. It's suitably equipped with the Script (Artistic) #75 typeface.

In 2004, I found a 1949 Smith-Corona Clipper in a dumpster and I thought it was neat. I still think they're neat.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Smith Corona Galaxie on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Smith Corona Serial Number page and the Smith Corona Galaxie By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
