Description:
A couple things about this machine are interesting to me. One, the letters indicate single, double and triple spacing, but since this is a script machine, the single spacing is actually 1 1/2 line spacing. Two, pressing and holding the backspace gives a perfect half space for inserting an apostrophe, etc. Not all the Smith Corona machines I've tried do this. A feature or an unintentional quirk of adjustment? It was dirty but cleaned up fairly well. It types fine. The platen is 97 Shore A, so hard, but not a rock. Purchased 9/22 for $10 plus $15 shipping. The only thing that's really wrong with it is that the gears on the paper support were damaged and do not mesh correctly. Sold 10/22
