Description:
A lovely example in Aztec Blue. It is being listed as not in my collection because it will be given to a friend shortly after posting it here. As you can see from the typeface example this machine has a bit of damage to one of the serifs on the lowercase "m". I am not a fan of the plastic ribbon spool holders in these later Royals. The carriage return handle was swapped for one from a 440.

I love vintage technology in general; audio stuff, computers, film cameras, but typewriters are fun by virtue of how mechanical they are. I have lately been using mine to write letters to internet penpals as well as politicians.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal Empress on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal Empress By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
