Description:
This is a 12-point Pica Olympia typing machine that works very smoothly and is a pleasure to write with. I love the sea-foam green badge at the center of it, flanked by green-tipped knobs and shift keys. I enjoy the unique smallness of the type it writes with too.

I have been fascinated by the clockwork construction of typewriters since I was a child. I'd play with one at my dad's office in Manhattan on the days he'd take me to work. Decades later, I've rediscovered them and have fallen into the hobby of acquiring a modest collection.
I use typewriters mostly for leisure, but I do find that creative writing on a typewriter takes on a different flavor of its own. I also have found a great deal of pleasure in using these machines as a means of crafting expressive art.
