Description:
This is one of the dirtiest and neglected Olympias I've come across. The original owner was definitely a heavy smoker, as there was nicotine staining all over the machine and the case has permanent staining. I was able to get most of the staining off the typewriter, but the keys are consistently more yellow than they would otherwise be.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olympia SM5 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olympia Serial Number page and the Olympia SM5 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
