Description:
This is a sweet little black beauty. I bought her at a consignment auction for a song. The only problems were a missing margin scale and the vinyl case was hanging together by electrician's tape. I made a facsimile margin scale, which looks pretty good and now will try to do something with the case. The machine is very clean and cosmetically beautiful. And it types like a dream!

I'm an architect by day and an incorrigible tinkerer by night. I prowl thrift stores, auctions, and antique shops looking for old mechanical things to fix up. My entry drugs were fountain pens and wind-up tin toys, but before long I had gone to the harder stuff - watches and clocks. Finally, I broke down and decided to try "just one" typewriter - a 1948 Royal KMM. I told myself I wouldn't do any more until I got rid of it, but didn't know you could get hooked so easily. Fourteen typewriters later, I still have the KMM, and am still looking for that next fix. I'm expecting an intervention from the family soon.
