Description:
As a nerd, I was looking for a serial number as close to Cormac McCarthy's Lettera 32. But I also was curious about the single-piece carriage lock (which I now feel does work better than the later two-piece) and the ribbon spool arms. Overall this is a great machine. The platen and feed rollers have been resurface and it's a beast, will hand anything I throw at it, from cheap paper to heavy stationary and envelopes and everything in between.

Gave up writing on a computer, switched to a typewriter because my cats won't lay on the keyboard.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olivetti Lettera 32 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olivetti Serial Number page and the Olivetti Lettera 32 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
