Description:
Torpedoes were marketed in the UK under the Bluebird brand. This one has some interesting maths keys. It belonged to a woman teacher in Scotland. It is very well used and the platen is like a waffle iron - but it types like a new machine - especially on thicker paper.

I'm an opportunistic collector and user. Yep, I have a habit, but I'm in control, OK?
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Blue Bird Bluebird on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Blue Bird Serial Number page and the Blue Bird Bluebird By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
