Description:
Adler Tippa with Pica typeface. This is my first typewriter with an all-plastic shell. The mechanics of this Tippa are fantastic and very reliable, but there's a fragility to the shell that I'm not accustomed to. It's in great shape, and other than a standard cleaning, I only needed to replace the hardened grommets, super glue a hard-to-see crack in the shell, and flush out a gummy bell clapper.

I'm a Canadian book editor and typewriter collector with over fifty typewriters, ranging from an 1890 Odell 2 to a 1965 Facit TP1. I also own and operate Ocean View Typewriters, a typewriter shop, out of Nova Scotia, Canada.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Adler Tippa on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Adler Serial Number page and the Adler Tippa By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
