Description:
This is my first typewriter. I purchased it for $20 from Facebook Marketplace. It was very dirty, but working. The electrical cord is damaged and needs to be replaced. The platen is rock hard and is loud to type on. The tabs do not work. That being said, it is still fun to type on and is easier than the manual typewriters I now own. I'm not sure if I will keep it long term, but I still like it.

I recently started collecting typewriters after rediscovering my love for them at an event. I am fortunate to live in an area with a small group of people who appreciate typewriters. We meet bimonthly and share recent finds and host type-ins to let others in our area discover the joy of typewriters.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Smith Corona Coronet on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Smith Corona Serial Number page and the Smith Corona Coronet By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
