Description:
This is not your ordinary Classic 12!
Two things make it unusual. First is the font. It uses the Elite Gothic 16, which was designed for addressing, indexing, etc. It's all capital letters! Even the lowercase are capital letters. Second is the presence of some special keys that were used in pharmaceutical notation at the time it was made.
It's seen a lot of use and has lots of character. Still works fine and types like a dream.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Smith Corona Classic 12 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Smith Corona Serial Number page and the Smith Corona Classic 12 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
