Description:
A friend of my husband’s gifted this 1963 Royal Safari to me unexpectedly. It smelled awful and was so filthy and gunked up, that several of the keys absolutely would not budge! About 90 minutes later…. it still smelled kinda funky, but better, and it’s very functional. Just needs a replacement plastic paper guide on the right hand side. Apparently it broke off some years ago, from the looks of it. What a nice surprise! I love new toys! 🙂

I'm Crystal. I am a newspaper-published writer, Novelist-in-progress, blogger, former Behavior Specialist, and an Ordained Minister. I absolutely love typewriters, and am growing a small collection. I have raised five sons to adulthood, and yet, I can't keep potted plants alive more than a month. My husband and I spend way too much time together, but that's okay.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal Safari on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal Safari By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
