Description:
Very early all metal model of the USA made Safari line. Rummage sale find for $10. No paper support. Works OK with out paper bail as the plastic card holders keep the paper close to the platen. Excellent condition and types well. Pica typeface.

Retired. Have been a Photography geek for many years...old school film. Also have been an audiophile and have been collecting vinyl before it became fashionable. Accidently(?) began collecting typewriters in the early1980's...I had four by 2006. After I inherited my mothers Hermes 3000 in 2017 my interest really took off and now I have 28 typewriters in total. The majority of my collection are Smith Corona's largely because they are plentiful, easy to work on and are very good typers.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal Safari on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal Safari By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
