Description:
I got my Aztec Blue model with the unusual 16-inch carriage in 2016—rescued from a trash pile. It's in pretty good shape overall but has some scuffs and dirt. I've used it a few times now and it's rather nice. I thought it rather unusual to have a +/± key and an =/° key. Adding pictures sooner or later...

I started collecting typewriters like I've started collecting anything: by accident. I found a neglected manual Underwood in the trash and merely had to tighten a screw to get the carriage to work right and so it began. I'm in Rochester, NY, USA and prefer to stumble upon treasures rather than go looking—it keeps the clutter down. :)
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal Empress on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal Empress By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
