Description:
Gordon MacRea. Acquired 11/15/2024 from Generation Antique Mall in Tulsa, OK. It has one metal spool and one broken plastic spool in the case (pristine case) in a baggie. On the machine are plastic spools that are slightly too large. No sticky keys, nice straight paper support arm, crack on the space bar. No red/black/stencil setting and no tab key. Tombstone thin plastic keys. Looks a lot like a Royalite but it's a bit chunkier with that blue key cover, which does shut but I didn't shut it before taking pictures!

Started collecting in March 2021 when an Olympia SM3 caught my eye at a thrift store. By May 2021, I was up to nine. By September 2021, my husband jumped in to the pool with both feet and our collection grew to 37. Phew. By October 2022 we had 64. In 2023 we began attending and hosting events where we can share our collection with the community and other collectors. We've sold or given away about 21. Good times.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal Citadel on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal Citadel By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
