Description:
Very much like a Royalite or 60's era Companion, with the distinctions of a two-tone color scheme and a ribbon cover that sits atop the main body of the typewriter. As an ultra-portable, it's compact and provides only the most basic features. It would not make for a comfortable typing experience in a long session, but it's convenient and has a sporty look to it. This specimen features an elite typeface and has just enough minor issues to prevent it from being a fun typing experience. Perhaps with some maintenance it will improve. Regardless, it is a keeper in my collection as I am fond of the Royalite form factor.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal Citadel on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal Citadel By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
