Description:
Given the serial number, the database indicates this Olympia Monica was built in 1963 (SM4). It's a QWERTZ keyboard complete with all the umlauts! It has a little lever to lock the carriage for storage. The chrome trim is beautiful.
My husband purchased it on eBay from a seller in Germany for 40 Euro in September 2017. It's more than we like to pay for a typewriter, but he wanted me to have it because his Brunsviga mechanical calculator has the same plate on the back from Olympia Werke AG.
I love typing on this machine! It is heavy duty, well-built, typical German standards! It is in great condition,though it still needs a new ribbon. The only thing I have done to it is wipe it down! Love love love!
