Recently acquired this excellent machine from the Hot Rod Typewriter Company, and it came serviced and clean. Any hair and stuff you see in the pictures is from my dogs...
It's a real fast and smooth typer with a very light touch. It has quickly become one of my favorites.
Serial number. Under the ribbon cover, behind the right spool.
Keyboard view. Modern layout with 1 and +.
Ribbon selector with carriage lock above it.
Pica slugs, covered in purple ink.
This machine came to me with this purple and red ribbon on tiny spools. It takes DIN spools, but can be easily modified for universal spools also.
Left side view.
Rear view with big F A C I T logo buttons and flip out paper rest visible. The two legs of the paper rest are connected, so you only need to pull on one of them.
Facit's fancy tube system in lieu of a traditional carriage rail. The lever at the bottom is for tab set/clear.
Line spacing controls - 1, 1.5, 2 lines.
Right side view.
This lever can be used to clear all tabs or enable 7 pre-set tab positions. Push to set, pull to clear all.
Tab set/clear. Push to set a tab, pull to clear it.
Pegboard underside! The entire edge of the pegboard-looking surface is the typewriter's foot.
