Description:
Spotted this on an add for a tag sale and because it was a fair distance away I asked the owner how much they were asking. When they told me 85 I decided against it. But, on the last day of the sale the owner contacted me and asked if I was still interested in it at 40. I told them I would and the following weekend I picked it up with my father.
I cleaned it up mechanically, but overall it is a pretty nice machine.
I will admit that the margin setting and clearing system is very odd, but very interesting. I, honestly, am not too fond of the margin clear button; but, if you were constantly changing margins, I can see it being useful. Another thing that is different about this machine, is the fact that the bell and clapper, are mounted to the carriage! Another interesting feature is the margin stop and tab stop rack tilts back when you press the margin release which seems to make it a little heavy to use.
Still, this machine is nice to use and different in just about every way!
Type sample to follow.

I started collecting typewriters several years ago and it started with a late 1960s Smith-Corona Sterling portable that I got as a gift.
