Description:
There's clean survivors, and then there is this one. It was in a closet under blankets. It still had the protective front frame cover on it. And the segment lock tabs were engaged. Was it ever used? Blowing it out is a misnomer because there was nothing to blow out. The bench images are before I touched the internals. A very light mineral spirits brush and lube of the pivot points, then some wax/cleaner to the exterior, and done in 90 min.

Typewriters are the perfect blend of using one's technical skills, history and functional purpose. My goal is type tested machines. My interests are not isolated to any one area. For example, I am a big fan of Smith Corona electrics, mid century electrics and all things Royal.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the R.C. Allen Visomatic A on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the R.C. Allen Serial Number page and the R.C. Allen Visomatic A By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
