Description:
I've been looking for an SMx with the Senatorial Typeface, and found this one on marketplace. I paid more than my usual $30 typewriter limit, but I think it was worth it! The machine works fine and snappy. It just needs cleaning and a replacement paper support. Now to get caught up on my correspondence....

I fell down the analog hobby rabbithole and have no intention of climbing out. As a child, I wrote my school research papers on the 1946 Smith-Corona Silent that my father used to get through law school. By the time I went to law school, new-fangled computers were all the rage. But I kept my dad's Smith-Corona. In the decades since, I've found a few other typewriters and use them to write fiction for fun and pose them with the film cameras to which I am hopelessly addicted.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olympia SM7 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olympia Serial Number page and the Olympia SM7 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
