1962 Hermes 3000 Serial # 3143901 1962 Hermes 3000 typewriter, Serial # 3143901 Stacy Jones's 1962 Hermes 3000 typewriter. 2022-06-08 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Stacy Jones: 1962 Hermes 3000 Serial # 3143901 Purchased at a local junk shop. Located the original owner, who passed in 1985. It was used to write letters to family in France until he passed. Standard Pica typeface, Azerty keyboard layout, which would bother some, but I seem to have no problem switching back and forth between it and qwerty. The paper bail has been replaced since this photo was taken and Hot Rod Typewriter Company did a great job bringing this machine back to life.

Purchased at a local junk shop. Located the original owner, who passed in 1985. It was used to write letters to family in France until he passed. I’ve been collecting typewriters since 2019. I started with a Remington 5 Streamliner that I found in a local junk shop and from there, my love for these machines grew and grew. I now have far too many typewriters in my collection, assuming that you think there is such a thing.
