1962 Facit TP1 Serial # P295559 1962 Facit TP1 typewriter, Serial # P295559 Evan Bezeredi's 1962 Facit TP1 typewriter. 2018-10-22 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Evan Bezeredi: 1962 Facit TP1 Serial # P295559 While out of town for a wedding, I took advantage of a new environment and went on the hunt. I picked up a Brother
Challenger 11 and began talking to the owner about a typewriter that they were given, but never did anything with.
They were hoping that a relative would want the keys for jewelry, but when that fell through, they were just going to
throw it away. Without any further information, I told the owner that I service, repair, and restore typewriters and that
I would be more than happy to find a good home for it. They went back home and grabbed it and I picked it up a few hours
later. I didn't get to look at it until I got back to the hotel. I had no idea such a coincidental find would turn out to be a Facsit.

This grey machine is complete with a case ( red lined interior, grey leatherette exterior), original owners manual, and two
dust covers (one with Facsit) on it. The carriage does not advance unless I push it to the left while typing despite the
drawstring having proper tension. It probably just needs a good cleaning.

I'm not sure what I'll end up doing with this machine yet. It'll be a while before I get to this one as my backlog is quite deep.

I work with modern technology during the week while repairing and rejuvenating antiquated technology on the weekend! I'm a small time collector that's more interested in servicing and repairing typewriters than collecting them.
