Description:
This is my favorite typewriter in my collection. Smooth, perfect snappy light touch, and looks like a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. Truly beautiful. Definitely quieter than some of my other machines, too, and even the case is stunning. (I'll get pics of that up another day.)
By serial number, this is an Erika 10; however, it's also a Pullman. Not sure how that works but then again this stuff can always get a bit convoluted. Sure I'll figure it out eventually, haha.

Longtime poet with seven typewriters in my collection currently (not counting ones I'm in the process of selling). I'm a super speedy typist, so my favorite machines are the ones that require the lightest touch to operate. Over the years I have learned the hard way that how light of a touch a typewriter requires is definitely subjective; many machines others say are "easy", I find cumbersome. But I love all my machines and collecting them is sadly addictive (sadly since they are difficult to acquire on the cheap locally, and they certainly take up more space than my knickknack collection. Ha).
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Erika 10 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Erika Serial Number page and the Erika 10 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
