Description:
Alpina typewriters are very rare in the former USSR, this one was brought here by a seaman in the late 1990s and never used since then.
Quite nice to use, but QWERTZ layout is still confusing me. Has a touch control and tabulator. Carriage shift seems not to be heavy (compared to Olympia SM3 and Moskva 6). There is also a Tipp-Ex holder glued to the right side.

Slowly tracking back a complicated history of Soviet typewriters.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Alpina SK 24 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Alpina Serial Number page and the Alpina SK 24 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
