Description:
The flashing "bordeaux" color of this one attracts me at first glance.
When I notice it was a "Privat" model, I grab it inmediatly.
You can find Patria and Oliver branded typewriters that are lookalikes with this Voss model.
I've found this typewriter a little bit heavy to use. Possibly with a careful clean and oiling (or/and if you use it on a daily basis) speed can be achieved.
With its matching carriyng case (and a very easy method to fix in the case of put the typewriter free of it), is a nice adquisition.
Very original location of the red/blue/stencil lever (over the type basket, at the right side of the vibrator). A little of practice do you need not to get your fingers dirty with the ribbon, passing milimeters behind the lever.
Why they choose this weird position... who knows?

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Voss Privat on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Voss Serial Number page and the Voss Privat By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
