Description:
Found at a local antique mall. I had to pay actual money for this one even though it needs a good cleaning, the typebars are very slow. In the US Facits aren't that easy to find, and even harder to trip over, so I had to have it. Typesample and photos forthcoming.

Occasional typewriter user and 'variety accumulator' but not a serious collector.
My first typewriter was a SCM Galaxie/Classic that I bought at a thrift store in Middle School. Taught myself how to use it without the manual. Used it for school work that needed to be entered into print-outs. I liked the machine, although it is heavy, but I always hated the case.
Recently, something awakened in me and I have been finding a few modest projects and interesting machines to try manual typing again.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Facit TP1 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Facit Serial Number page and the Facit TP1 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
