Description:
This is the same machine as a Rheinmetall KsT and was renamed by Rheinmetall for some export reasoning. There are some interesting features: The type bars can be individually removed for cleaning, The touch control is located on the underside of the machine, The ribbon color selector has 4 stops, the extra middle position printing the black on a slightly shifted area of the ribbon. The paper holders are a simple and practical design in that they swing up into position by simple levering and no springs involved. The ease of removing the carriage contributes to a design for easy maintenance and repair. Typing action is satisfying and responsive, though I find my fingers slip off the key shapes a little too easily. But keys geometry can be a personal preference. The platen is hard but not as stone hard as an Olympia SM3 or 4 machine.
