Description:
Somewhat rare "pinky/beige" Tower tabulator, a Smith Corona 5 series made for Sears in 1960 only. I've added this second one to my collection. The small atomic logo is actually an SR logo, for Sears and Roebuck. It came in the tan, tweedy-look fiberglass "holiday" case. I cleaned the typewriter and it is now a very good machine. In fact, most Smith Corona series 5 machines I've owned have been solid typers with few repairs needed other than cleaning. Gifted to a writer.

Get to work!
I am a retired graphic artist and I began collecting typewriters in 2021. I like machines from the 50s and 60s. Other interests include music, film making, fly fishing and tinkering with classic VWs.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Tower Tabulator on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Tower Serial Number page and the Tower Tabulator By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
