Description:
The Royalite is a cute typewriter. So far my experience has been that it's a little rickety. I've cleaned it up pretty thoroughly, degreased and lubricated. It types alright, but I often trigger a skip when I press the space bar very rapidly after typing the final letter of a word. I suppose a disciplined and slower typing cadence would help stop that particular problem. It is very light and portable though.
I wasn't going to buy this typewriter, but the seller had it posted online and just kept lowering and lowering the price until I couldn't just leave it there.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal Royalite on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal Royalite By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
