Description:
Elite sized type. I got it at the ReStore for $30. A good typer but with a long key travel. The platen is hard so I need to put a backing sheet behind my pages. Nice straight text lines.
I'm disappointed, though, after seeing Richard Polt's machine, that mine doesn't have that cool plastic wear guard around the front of the keyboard!

The pounding typebar, having writ, moves on... unless there's a ding.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the R.C. Allen VisOmatic on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the R.C. Allen Serial Number page and the R.C. Allen VisOmatic By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
