Description:
Very interesting story on this one! Took the ferry up to Connecticut to get this beauty - notice the Polish language keyboard! It belonged to a priest, and we bought it from his family. I was able to research the priest and read about his life, and it's just one of the many magical joys of owning a piece of history. The stories these machines could tell! Types like a hot knife through butter, I adore the feel of the keys... any journal entry typed on this machine is so much longer than the others, because I just don't want to stop typing.

Started with one typewriter in our small cottage, and ended up with over twenty! Transformed a closet into a gothic "typewriterbrary" and it makes a great centerpiece for the house, and an easy way to access all the typewriters for writing letters, journaling, and whatnot, as well as keeping them dust-free in the betweentimes.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Hermes 3000 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Hermes Serial Number page and the Hermes 3000 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
